Wilwood bracket for beetles

Bolt on brackets that allow the use of Wilwood Dynalite 5.25″ 4 pistons calipers with stock VW disk (Ghia disk). Will fit:

-1302/1303 drum spindle
-stock height BJ drum spindle
-dropped drum spindle

944NA/Boxster to LP dropped drum spindle

Pictured is the kit for 944NAhubs (83-85, with Boxster (non-S) calipers  onto dropped link pin spindles. If the customer supplies the LP spindles and core 944 hubs, we can machine the hubs for the correct bearings, machine the spindle to suit, fabricate caliper brackets, provide all hardware and seals, install new bearings and include full instructions.

If you don’t have the 944 hubs and dropped spindles, these can be purchased for an additional fee (Please inquire).

944NA on Type 1 BJ dropped spindle

This kit adapts 83-85 944NA brake components to a dropped drum BJ spindle. The hubs are modified to take T1 bearings and stock beetle grease seals. The spindles require a significant amount of machining to mount the caliper. The spindle will no longer be able to take stock T1 components. Offset increase of the brakes is 13mm per side.

The kit included machining of YOUR of your hubs to take beetle bearings, fabrication of two caliper brackets, machining of YOUR spindles to accept the caliper bracket, installed German bearings and all required fasteners.

944T on Mendeola

This kit adapts 944 Turbo rotors (87-89, 299x28mm) and 944 Turbo calipers (86-89, axial mount) to Mendeola spindles.

The hubs are modified to take Type 1 bearings and stock beetle grease seals. The spindles require a significant amount of machining to mount the caliper. The spindle will no longer be able to mount a stock T1 caliper.  Offset increase of the brakes is 13mm per side versus stock T1 brakes.

The kit included machining of YOUR of your 944 hubs to take beetle bearings, fabrication of two caliper brackets and machining of YOUR spindles.  The spindles will be returned with caliper brackets fitted and  ready to go, with bearing races installed, bearings/seals provided (Made in Germany), caliper brackets, hardware and instructions. The machining takes about 4-8 weeks, but please inquire for current turnaround estimates and shipping instructions.

986S/993 on Mendeola

This kit adapts Boxster S rotors (2000-2004) and 993Black or 944TurboS calipers to Mendeola spindles.   Custom made billet hubs are machined for the application and this kit provides no offset increase over stock vw disk brakes.  Please send YOUR Mendeola spindles to VdubEngineering for machining/fitment.  They will be returned with caliper brackets fitted and  ready to go, with bearing races installed, bearings/seals provided (Made in Germany), caliper brackets, hardware and instructions. The machining take about 4-8 weeks, but please inquire for current turnaround estimates. Your will require the use of  Boxster S rotors (318×28) and 993/944TS calipers (not included).

955 Brakes on Dropped BJ spindle

This kit adapts 955 (Cayenne) rotors and calipers to CB disk spindles (BJ). This is the latest application in our billet hub series. This hub utilises stock T1 bearings and seals. Due to the caliper design, the spindles require clearancing. Billet dust caps are included and are machined for a square speedometer drive.

The kit includes two billet hubs, two caliper brackets, machining to customer supplied spindles and all required hardware.

993 Brakes on Type3

This kit adapts 993 brakes to a T1 (BJ, SB) or T3 spindle (shown). This kit adapts 993 brake components to stock height disk spindles. (Dropped spindles can also be used). The hubs are modified to take T1 bearings. Grease seal adaptors allow the use of stock beetle grease seals.

The spindles require machining to mount the caliper. The spindle will no longer be able to take a stock T1 caliper.

The kit included machining of YOUR of your hubs to take beetle bearings, fabrication of two caliper brackets, maching of YOUR spindles to accept the caliper bracket, installed German bearings/seals and all required fasteners.+7mm offset increase per side.
