944Turbo for BJ/SB/Thing

This kit adapts 87-89 944 Turbo hubs and disks (front mount) to a BJ/Super/Thing spindle. Since the 944 bearings are larger than the stock beetle, bearing spacers are employed to make the hub fit onto the T1 spindle. The spacers are a shrink-fit onto the944 hub and machined for beetle bearings/seals.  No spindle mods are required for the caliper bracket.  Offset increase is +13mm per side.  Please send YOUR core hubs to VdubEngineering for machining.  They will be returned with machined and ready to go, with bearing races installed, bearings/seals provided (Made in Germany), caliper brackets, hardware and instructions. The machining take about 4-8 weeks, but please inquire for current turnaround estimates. Your will require the use of 87-89 944 Turbo rotors and calipers (not included).

944NA on SB/BJ/Thing

Boxster/BoxsterS to Bay Bus

Bracket kit for Boxster or Boxster S  brakes for your 71-72 or 73-79 Bus. Bracket bolts onto spindle. Includes brackets, hardware, bearing spacers, grease seals and full instructions. You will need to send  your 83-85 944NA hub to VdubEngineering for machining .  Rotor and caliper NOT included. Three options:

a) Use Boxster S caliper (reds) and rotor(318×28) from a 2000-2008 Boxster S.  Requires 17″ wheels.

b) Use Boxster caliper (blacks) and rotor (299×24) from 1997-2004 Boxster.  Requires 16″ wheels.

Bus Master Cylinder Adapter

Precision machined from billet aluminum, this adaptor allows you mount a Porsche 944 master cylinder to your 67 and earlier bus (T2). The adaptor is machined to allow the use of a stock bus pushrod, aswell as position the resevoir of the 944 master cylinder directly under the acess hole in the floor. The ‘nose’ of the adaptor is machined to mimick a stock bus master cylinder, with a groove to insure a tight seal to the rubber boot. Proper metric grade fasteners are included.

Also available, an adaptor to adapt a 72-79 bus master cylinder to an 67 or earlier bus.

Billet Hubs

Vdub Engineering has developed a billet hub for T1 front ends. The hubs are made from billet aluminum and are machined to exacting tolerances. The hub pictured on the right is intended for use with VW mk4 brake components (1.8T). The hubs use stock beetle bearings for easy installation.

Vdub Engineering can machine a hub to your custom specs, i.e. any disk and any bolt pattern with stock beetle bearings. The hubs can be machined with various front spacings, so you can decrease/increase your track without spacers. Imagine the possibilities:

– 944 brakes with 5-100mm on BJ car with no spindle modifications

-1.8T (5-100mm) brakes on LP T1’s with no spindle mods.
